Automated Heat Exchanger Technology Improves Productivity

Our advanced automated technology for heat exchanger maintenance along with our highly skilled staff and excellent project management facilitated a successful turnaround of a vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) unit at a petrochemical plant in Thailand recently.

By using our superior technology for Internal Bundle Cleaning (IBC), we completed the heat exchanger work in a fraction of the time it takes with other conventional cleaning methods. The IBC-5, developed by Peinemann, has five rigid lances, enabling us to clean five tubes at a time, which has significantly increased efficiency, quality and safety. The multi-lance system also increases productivity as much higher pressures and flows can be used.

In addition to heat exchanger maintenance, the scope included column and vessel maintenance. Our comprehensive approach covering all aspects of column and tower internals from inspection to installation ensured we delivered optimal safety, quality and schedule efficiency.
